Close up of various meats on a grill

In the previous blog post from your community of Hyland Village apartments, we shared some tips about tanning this summer. We’re continuing the theme of summer activities this week by giving our residents some recipes to use on the outdoor grills at Caliber! Whether you’ve been meaning to get into grilling this summer or you’ve been grilling all your life, we think you’ll find some tasty meals on the list of recipes below.

If you ask us, the best way to spend a summer day is to grill out and hang by the pool at Caliber. You can invite friends over, meet your neighbors, and enjoy good food while you’re at it! We love providing our residents with social spaces, and we think the grills will be one of the our biggest draws when the warm weather starts to get residents to come outside.

Without further delay, let’s dive into the list of recipes! When you’re done reading through the list, go ahead and share it with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments near Hyland Village.

Aromatic Grilled Chicken

If you’re going to be the star of the grill this summer, the first thing you need to master is the art of seasoning. This is a good recipe to use if you’re unfamiliar with mixing seasonings, as you’ll get used to seasoning pretty quickly. All you have to do is throw the chicken in a bowl, throw all the seasonings on top of it, and then enjoy the smells coming off the grill!

Before you get started, make sure you have these ingredients:

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Garlic Powder

  • Onion Powder

  • Oregano

  • Chili Powder

  • Turmeric

  • Paprika

  • Chicken Thighs

Sticky Balsamic Ribs

Few meals are messier than ribs, so we recommend eating these outside so it won’t matter! People don’t often think of eating ribs with balsamic vinegar but the flavors actually work nicely together. If you can, grab a BBQ brush from the grocery store while you’re buying your ingredients!

Before you get started, make sure you have these ingredients:

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Garlic Cloves

  • Chopped Rosemary

  • Brown Sugar

  • Cayenne

  • Balsamic Vinegar

  • Baby Back Ribs

Grilled Corn with Basil Butter

This is the easiest recipe on our list, so we doubt you’ll have any trouble with it whether you’re making corn for two or corn for a crowd.

Before you get started, make sure you have these ingredients:

  • Corn

  • Olive Oil

  • Sea Salt

  • Basil

Grilled Avocado with Black Bean Salad

The last recipe on our list involves grilling avocados, which is easier said than done. Make sure you cut the avocados into thick slices so they don’t fall apart, and don’t turn them over before one side is completely cooked and crunchy!

Before you get started, make sure you have these ingredients:

  • Avocado

  • Olive Oil

  • Lemons

  • Quinoa

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Black Beans

  • Cucumber

  • Basil Leaves

  • Cilantro

Those are all the recipes we’ve got for you this week, residents! As always, we greatly appreciate those of you that have been coming back week after week to read the latest brand new blogs from Caliber at Hyland. If we’ve done our job, you should be able to make some delicious meals out at the grills all summer long!
