Easy Fall Recipes from your Hyland Village Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

Whether you’re hosting guests at your Hyland Village apartments or going to your family’s place for dinner, it’s always stressful trying to figure out exactly what you should make. Are you going to be the person who brings the calorie-filled dessert, or will you be the savior who brings a diet-friendly salad? You can always go with a traditional option like mashed potatoes or stuffing, but you’re going to have to get the recipe just right.

Cooking for Thanksgiving can be a daunting task, but we’re here to help you get through it. In the blog post below, we’ll be sharing a list of our favorite Thanksgiving recipes. Some are side dishes, and some are more filling. The one common denominator with all these dishes is that they’re delicious. You might not think you’re capable of making a Thanksgiving dish that makes people’s taste buds pop, but with the help of these recipes, you’ll find that you are.

Let’s dive right into this week’s post, shall we? Oh, and when you’re done reading through the blog post below, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at Caliber — the apartments Hyland Village residents choose for luxury living.

Roasted Butternut Squash with Cider Vinaigrette

Head to the store and grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Butternut Squash

  • Red Onion

  • Olive Oil Salt & Pepper

  • Apple Cider

  • Mustard

  • Red Wine Vinegar

  • Chopped Parsley

The first dish on our list might sound a little fancy, but it’s actually not that hard to make. Just be sure to get fresh parsley to add to the mix, and don’t skimp on the apple cider!

Sourdough Mushroom Stuffing

Head to the store and grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Butter

  • Mushrooms

  • Celery

  • Onion

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Sourdough Bread

  • Chicken Broth

  • Parsley

  • Thyme

  • Sage

  • Rosemary

If you ask us, stuffing is the most important part of the Thanksgiving meal. We can enjoy turkey and mashed potatoes year-round, but stuffing seems to only make an appearance on the third Thursday in November. Stuffing is great, but you can make it special by adding all-important ingredients like mushrooms and chunks of sourdough bread.

Potato and Celery Root Au Gratin

Head to the store and grab these ingredients so you can get started:

  • Cream

  • Milk

  • Garlic

  • Onion

  • Butter

  • Celery Root

  • Yukon Gold Potatoes

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Gouda Cheese

Cheese makes everything better, including a dish with celery root in it. In all seriousness, celery root pairs well with potatoes, and the rich gouda flavor will help you wow your guests at your Thanksgiving get together.
